Paid Survey / Reward Websites
Paid survey websites (a.k.a. Get-Paid-To or GPT) are widely considered the fastest option for scoring some free gift cards online. The only catch is you’ll be completing surveys that usually have an approval process before you’re awarded any money. We have a post covering our Top GPT Websites, which I recommend you take a look at after.
Swagbucks is regarded by many as the best Get Paid To website and I happen to agree with that sentiment. They have a huge variety of ways to earn points and an even wider selection of rewards to pick from. Because they’re so popular you’ll find a lot of support for getting surveys approved and more. Their customer support is iffy at times which is to be expected of big websites like this.
PrizeRebel comes in a close second in my eyes and it’s a great all-around choice if you find Swagbucks isn’t a good fit for you. They have a good selection of earning avenues to try and a good selection of rewards to cash out for. You really can’t go wrong choosing PrizeRebel as your GPT site of choice.
InboxDollars is really tied with PrizeRebel for second place, but I’ll leave it up to you as to which is better, in fact I recommend trying both. InboxDollars has all the usual features that you’d expect from a GPT website, but they also have a Scratch off ticker-like game for some extra fun. Other than that, it’s pretty standard and a solid second-place option.
MyPoints has taken me longer than I care to admit, to give it the attention it deserves. It’s a website that sits halfway in between a cash-back shopping site and a Reward site. I was worried that they may have shot themselves in the foot by deciding to do both and that their quality of service and features would suffer. To my delight, the website manages to accomplish both of these without noticeable detriment.
Shopping Sites & Apps
Cash-back and savings can add up fast and I hope we all know now that every penny really does count. You won’t be getting hundreds of free Best Buy gift cards a month, but by not using any of these services you’re just throwing money away. Please check out our Best Cash Back Websites & Apps article for more detailed information.
Honey is a browser extensions that everyone should have downloaded by now. Honey automatically finds and applies the best coupon codes it can at checkout and gives you honey gold in he process (usually). You can redeem the honey gold for rewards such as free Best Buy gift card codes.
Ebates (Rakuten) is one of the more popular cash-back sites on this list and they have been handing out savings for a while now. Any coupon codes that they have will be applies at checkout so you don’t have to worry about searching for a promo code manually.
7. Mr. Rebates
Mr. Rebates has been going strong for a while now and their success is all due to a solid savings platform and loyal users. Of course you should try them and others out before making a decision. They have a decent referral system and a nice little $5 bonus you could get when you sign up.
BeFrugal is one of my favorite websites for the simple fact that they will match any other cash back rate. They have some nice restaurant savings options available if you eat out often this could be the website for you. Oh and there’s a $10 sign up bonus for new users if you’re not already convinced.
TopCashBack may claim to be the United State’s most generous cash back website, but one thing is for certain, they are definitely a great option. There’s a sign up bonus and an app you can try out if you feel so inclined.
ExtraBux may not look like much at first glance, but they shouldn’t be counted out so fast. They have all the features you’d need in a cash back website and deserve a spot on this list.
Dosh is an app that just gets so much right. To set it up you just create an account and link your credit or debit card to the app and then Dosh takes care of the rest. Whenever you buy something that qualifies for cash back Dosh will credit your account automatically. So you can just set it up, shop and save without any unnecessary effort on your part.
Ibotta is an app for your smart phone that can save you on everything from clothes, groceries and anything in between. They offer a generous welcome bonus and they’re a solid option on all sides.
WikiBuy (Capital One Shopping) is an extension for your browser that works like Honey does but it also alerts you if it finds the same item being sold at a lower price on another site. It’s a useful extension to have in case honey can’t find any coupon codes.
ReceiptHog is an app that works as your traditional cash back services that require you take a photo of your receipt for the app to scan. Of course this means if your phone’s camera is broken or just bad that you may have a hard time getting this to work. But hey, not everything works perfectly all the time but for those who it does work for can earn some serious savings.
15. Credit Card Rewards
Nearly all credit card company will have some kind of cash back program that you can sign up for. Before you commit to anything like this it’s important you research thoroughly before picking which company to pick. It’s also important to note that some companies offer different specialized cash back programs such as earning more cash back at specific stores or for specific items.
16. Search Social Media
This is just as simple as searching social media for any freebies you can find and participate for. There are countless giveaways being held and advertised on various social media platforms such as Twitter and Instagram. You just need to know what to search in order to find them, then just enter and wait. Here are some examples of what to search for on Twitter / Instagram: #giveaway | #contest | #competition | #sweepstakes | #prize | #freebie | #freebiefriday
17. Ask for Gift Cards Instead of Regular Gifts
This is the simplest way to get gift cards, just ask your friends and relatives to get you gift cards instead of a normal gift for special occasions / holidays. Most people have a difficult time picking out a gift for someone else, so this will simplify the process for them as well.
